Part of a biographical-critical account of Huygens's poetry. Lacks all preceding leaf 9, at which point begin 4 pages concerning Huygens's relationship with his wife, Susanna van Baerle, as reflected in his poetry, compared with the reflection, in paintings, of Rembrandt's relationship with his wife Saskia. After a further account of Huygens's life and work, the text ends with a note "More on his char. as it emerges." The draft has not been identified with any of the author's publications.
